What makes your business unique: The foundation of my business is based on food science.
What’s your story?: I was born a naturalist, vegetarian & herbalist, who grew up eating amazing, homemade healthy food. I remember hearing throughout most of my childhood: "You are what you eat, and that’s why the kitchen is our food laboratory." This statement is the foundation of my 21-year-old business. I have used this philosophy to create a style of food preparation that stimulates the human body to crave healthy foods.
One piece of advice you have for other food entrepreneurs: Do your homework so that you can make informed decisions about your business. Pay attention to details like food costs as they directly affect your profitability. Shop for quality foods at local mom and pop markets.
What’s your greatest challenge in your business and how are you overcoming it?: My challenge is finding balance between the grind of working on my business and taking time for self-care. Each day, I try to be humble, flexible and to prioritize the things that are the most important to me.
What do you love most about being a food entrepreneur? I am grateful to be able to connect with my clients and share foods that will promote good health and wellness.
