I love — absolutely love — seeing what other countries eat. There are so many unique ingredients, flavor combinations, and product categories abroad that simply don't exist here. Nothing makes me more excited than seeing an awesome product (think adobo chicken chocolate, or seaweed chicken larb tempura) and then being able to bring that product to our customers. Food is so fun and creative...and educational! — Monique Bernstein, Universal Yums
I think we love being able to exercise our creative abilities and to share the lightness, love, and benefits of eating the food that we create. It truly amps me up when people ask us what certain foods are, where they came from, and why they will benefit you. I preach daily about the benefits of eating well and mindfully, and love sharing that with people. And I truly love that it’s what I get to do every day. Kiersten and her creativity in the kitchen is unlike anything I've seen. She makes vegan look and taste good. I’m all about the plants, but I think a lot of people can agree, that is not an easy task. Me, I live for making acai bowls (so, so pretty they are) and smoothies, and being able to handle all of our marketing and making food look and taste good. We simply just love it, on the good and bad days. — Krista Gormeley, Shaka Bowl
In the food truck industry, I enjoy being able to have moments with various people every day, as well as seeing returning guests. Food seems to make people smile, so we are able to have great moments with people all over as we travel around. — Marcus Crawford, Broritos Food Truck
The best part is being able to get creative!! I have way too much fun coming up with new cookie flavors and new ice cream flavors. Also, the obligatory sampling of all the flavors doesn't hurt. — Alexa Hesse, Lexylicious Ice Cream Sandwiches
I love the flexibility and autonomy. Half of our flavors were a result of experimenting in the kitchen, and I love that we can implement our creative ideas almost immediately. I also love seeing the delight in customers’ faces when they realize our products can accommodate their dietary restrictions. We're so excited to continue expanding beyond the dairy-free capabilities. — Nelchael Antoine, Dairy No
I adore the industry, and I love good food and knowing where food comes from. Supporting other producers like me is just something that brings me tons of pleasure. As a food entrepreneur, I also feel more connected to the planet and my community. — Claire M. Marin, Catskill Provisions Inc.
