The Food Business Bootcamp® Experience

  • Hudson Kitchen 9 Basin Drive Kearny, NJ, 07032 United States (map)

If you have a recipe and are serious about turning it into a packaged food business, this hands-on introduction to Hudson Kitchen’s Food Business Bootcamp® Startup Accelerator is for you.

You'll work alongside food scientists and brand strategists, participate in guided exercises using your own business as the starting point, and explore the decisions involved in bringing a packaged food product to market.

Whether you're working through how to position your brand, understanding what it takes to produce commercially, or learning from founders who have navigated these challenges, the focus is on putting what you learn into practice.

You'll leave with new perspectives, practical insights, and a clearer understanding of the next steps for your business.

What You’ll Experience

Get Hands-On in the Commercial Kitchen
Work with Drexel Food Lab during an interactive session inside Hudson Kitchen’s commercial kitchen.

Explore key considerations that come into play when taking a recipe from the home kitchen to commercial production, including food safety, formulation, and production.

Start Building Your Brand Strategy
Work with Opus Hours to explore the building blocks of a strong food brand, including your target customer, competition, and positioning.

Through guided group exercises, you'll apply these concepts to your own business and begin identifying what makes your product different and how to communicate its value to customers.

Hear From Founders Who Have Done It
Hear directly from four Food Business Bootcamp® alumni as they share their experiences, challenges, accomplishments, and lessons learned while building their packaged food businesses.

Meet Our Alumni Panelists:

Hear how each founder has approached the journey from product development to commercial production and sales, and get insights you can apply to your own business.
