for Packaged Food Founders
Turn your recipe into a market-ready food business with expert, hands-on support.
The Food Business Bootcamp® Startup Accelerator is designed for aspiring packaged food founders with a recipe or early product who are ready to start building.
Over eight intensive weeks, you'll work alongside food scientists, brand strategists, operations experts, and industry professionals to develop your product, build your business foundation, and prepare for launch.
Then, you'll continue your journey with a required six-month Hudson Kitchen membership, giving you the production space, support, and resources needed to begin producing, selling, and growing.
“Stepping into a new chapter was scary, but the investment in Hudson Kitchen was well worth it.
Since graduating from the Bootcamp in March 2025, Toasty Polvo landed in four retailers, sold out at multiple pop-ups, and was even recognized by Bon Appétit as a Standout Snack at Summer Fancy Food Show. Hudson Kitchen helped me trust my instincts, tighten my foundation, and actually feel like a founder.”

Eligibility
What types of companies are you looking for?
We welcome early-stage packaged food founders with a recipe, prototype, or early product who are ready to move toward market. There is no revenue requirement.

Program Structure
What is the cohort size?
Up to 10 companies will be selected. Each company may include up to three team members, and solo founders are welcome.
What is the curriculum?
The curriculum is a hands-on, practitioner-led journey through the core building blocks of a successful packaged food business.
Participants work directly on their own product and business each week, guided step by step by industry experts. This includes time in the kitchen producing and refining their product, applying scaling techniques, and practicing safe, efficient production methods.
Topics include market research, brand strategy, recipe development and scaling, operations and SOPs, food safety practices, packaging, pricing and cost analysis, financial modeling, and wholesale readiness.
What is the time commitment?
The Bootcamp runs for eight weeks and culminates with Demo Day.
The Fall 2026 cohort begins September 9 and culminates with Demo Day on November 10.
Weekly sessions include a mix of virtual workshops, in-person workshops, kitchen production days, expert feedback sessions, and Demo Day preparation.
What happens after the 8-week Bootcamp?
Following the Bootcamp, participants continue into a required six-month Hudson Kitchen membership phase. This period is designed to help founders move from planning to execution through production access, continued support, accountability, and opportunities to begin selling and growing.
Membership fees are billed monthly, separate from the Bootcamp tuition, and are not due upfront with the Bootcamp enrollment fee.
Product & Production RequirementsDo I have to produce my product onsite during the program?
Yes. This program is designed for founders who will research, test, and refine their products directly in the Hudson Kitchen facility.
You will spend scheduled kitchen days producing your product, practicing safe and efficient methods, and applying scaling techniques under expert guidance.
What if I don’t have a final recipe yet?
You do not need a finalized recipe, but you should have a completed initial recipe, prototype, or early product that is ready for testing, refinement, and production planning.
Throughout the program, you will work in the kitchen to refine your recipe, improve consistency, and move it closer to a production-ready formula.
Can I participate if I plan to use a co-packer immediately?
This program is best suited for founders who plan to develop and test their product in Hudson Kitchen’s shared kitchen environment before moving to a co-packer.
If you plan to move directly to a co-packer without R&D or production work in the Hudson Kitchen facility, this program may not be the right fit.
Are meat or poultry products allowed?
Products containing meat or poultry may have additional regulatory requirements. Acceptance depends on compliance with USDA and local health department guidelines. We will review eligibility during the application process.
